We are proud to say that we are the originator of the carved flag military shadowboxes. The idea began as I neared my own military retirement and set out to create something completely different than the industry standard. Each box is hand crafted with the uniquely original STRONGHOLD style that is fully customized for each individual.

In addition to the hand crafted flag and float mounted displays, we also set a new standard in the military shadowbox build: Each box begins with the custom designed layout of your specific awards and memorabilia. Once the layout is designed, the box is built around your items… so you won’t be working to arrange them within the constraints of a pre-constructed box.

Many hours go into the build of each of these art pieces as I truly understand the significance of what they represent. Each box is handcrafted to be passed down for generations to come.

shadowbox case with carved flag backdrop: $1,950

Each case is crafted with decorative contrasting splines, inlays and a glass insert. Each flag is power carved by hand to achieve the desired wavy effect before being stained, cleared and hand painted.

Flag examples include: National Ensign, Branch of Service, POW or State Flag

FLOAT-Mount of item: $150 per item

Example items include ribbon rack, medal rack, insignia, coins, patches, name tags, dates of service placard, etc. The float-mount technique is a STRONGHOLD original that creates a unique shadow effect.

Partitioned compartments are another STRONGHOLD original that help define the aesthetic grouping of particular items. Decorative backdrop examples include charred or stained wood with inlays.
