AMERICAN ART MAFIA

When I was 13, my Grandmother and I spent an entire day visiting art museums. It was her kind of art; art that I had no interest in at all. She was trying to light a spark in me and get me pumped about taking my artistic talent more seriously. It didn’t take.

Fast forward about 20 years later…after getting severely injured in a motorcycle accident, I needed something to help me stay sane during my recovery and eventually replace the activities that I was physically no longer able to do. And that’s when it took.

My art is heavily influenced by two things: my Grandfather, who was a skilled traditional sign painter, and the kustom kulture hot rod scene. When people ask what kind of art I make, I tell them it’s the kind of stuff they’d want to have painted on their motorcycle tank or hanging above their bar….ya’ know, “not your Grandmother’s kind of art”.

After retiring from 23 years in the US Coast Guard serving as a Helicopter Rescue Swimmer, we have set up shop in north Georgia. It’s been an awesome ride and I sincerely appreciate all the support. Thanks for checking out my work!
